3PL Manager

As a 3PL manager:in you are responsible for one of our German 3PL sorting centers and make sure all processes run as smoothly as possible to meet customer demand. Your main focus is on operating performance, increasing productivity and managing a number of projects across our entire network to optimize efficiency and deliver first-class quality in our operations.Analysing and implementing changes to continuously ensure high quality and productivity in the 3PL Sorting Center Monitoring of projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity and improve customer service quality:in your area of responsibility Support of the 3PL partner in providing high productivity and quality standards and improving operational problems Ensuring smooth cooperation between the 3PL partner and internal Amazon stakeholders to maintain operational excellence Close cooperation with colleagues at the management level to coordinate operational standards and best practices A day in the lifeAls 3PL Manager: for one of our German sorting centers every day is dynamic and varied. Your day begins with the verification of the operational key figures of the previous day – throughput, quality metrics and possible deviations from the target values. You analyze the data to identify trends and identify proactive improvements. A large part of your day consists of close cooperation with your 3PL partner. You conduct regular consultations to discuss current operational status, identify challenges and develop solutions together. If operating problems occur – be it in sorting performance, quality deviations or capacity bottlenecks – you are the first point of contact for fast troubleshooting. You run several projects in parallel, aiming to reduce processes and increase productivity. This can mean the implementation of new technologies, the optimization of workflows or the introduction of best practices from other locations. You coordinate these initiatives between the 3PL partner and internal Amazon teams such as operations, engineering and finance. An important aspect Your role is the bridge function between external partners and internal stakeholders. You participate in meetings with different Amazon teams, present performance updates, escalate critical topics and make sure that all participants are at the same level. You translate requirements and expectations in both directions and ensure smooth communication. Your day ends with preparation for the next day – you check the volume forecasts, plan upcoming meetings and set priorities for the most important topics that require your attention. The role requires flexibility, analytical thinking and strong communication skills to be successful in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Business Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or a related field
• Experience working with and managing third party vendors
• Experience driving improvement programs in the operations, engineering and support fields
• Experience in acceleration data to drive decisions
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in operations management of fulfillment or distribution centers
• Experience in a high volume, high production operations environment
• Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of the organization
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management System Software including Warehouse control systems
