You develop, operate and optimise modern data pipelines with Azure Databricks and Lakeflow. You implement automated deployment processes based on Declarative Automation Bundles (DAB) and build automated test and CI/CD pipelines. You implement a holistic medallion architecture in Databricks. You ensure data quality, governance and compliance in close cooperation with the Data Governance team. You are actively working on the further development of our data platform strategy. You work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, Product Owns and specialist areas for implementing data-driven applications. You promote knowledge sharing in the team through code reviews, internal training and mentoring.
You have a completed study of (economic) informatics, mathematics, statistics or a comparable qualification. You have at least 3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, ideally focusing on Azure Databricks. You bring well-founded knowledge in deployment processes (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git). You have very good knowledge of Apache Spark and Python, especially in the environment of Databrick's notebooks and data processing. You have experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes and performance optimization of distributed data pipelines. You are characterized by analytical thinking, a structured working and communication strength – also in cooperation with non-technical stakeholders. First experiences with AI-assisted development, skills, agents or MCP-based development environments are of advantage. You have fluent knowledge of German and English in word and writing.
