You take over the Applikatios Management of the Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle, that the LMS Blackboard, which has been centrally provided at the FU Berlin, will be permanently operated as an integral part of the central IT infrastructure. In addition to the place advertised here, another place with the focus on 'Moodle Software and Product Development'' is to be occupied. The tasks include: strategic and operational application management of the LMS Moodle incl. Monitoring, maintenance and further development. Maintenance and optimization of system and server architecture, design, planning and implementation of system and data migrations. (Further) Development of the strategy for technological implementation and comprehensive verification of an LMS Moodle centrally provided at the FUB. Monitoring and evaluation of technological innovations and the design and implementation of technological standards in the LMS context. Support for LMS software and product development and project management in the LMS Moodle context. Quality management and quality assurance in the operating context of the LMS. strategic and technical advice from management levels and key users to use a centrally provided LMS Moodle. Second and third level support in the context of the LMS Moodle. Creation of internal specialist and expert documentation.

Completed academic studies (Master) in an activity-related field (e.g. computer science) or comparable expertise and experience. An activity-related professional experience of at least 2 years is advantageous. We wish you You have extensive relevant knowledge and practical experience in the operation of highly scaling web-based systems (preferably in the context of digital learning environments) and master the underlying technologies (virtualization, scaling, operating system, network, backup, security, monitoring, etc.) You have DLE relevant IT skills as well as practical experience in the area of relevant database solutions (e.g. MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and data modeling and integration (e.g. interfaces LTI, REST, API) as well as common programming languages (e.g. PHP, Java, Python, etc.) You are familiar with development tools (IDEs, deployment tools, Maven, Node, etc.) and with markup standards (e.g. XML Schema, JSON).
