The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS Children's Village Saxony is a combination of differentiated offers of child and youth assistance at the locations Zwickau and Leipzig. In our newly opened residential group at the SOS Children's Village Sachsen in Leipzig, you will accompany up to eight children and young people from 6 years of age in challenging life situations and create a reliable, safe and development-promoting environment together with the team. You take care and supervision and ensure a stable educational everyday life. You provide trusting relationship work and accompany children, young people and young adults in their emotional and social development. You support and support in conflict situations and promote appropriate behaviour strategies. You contribute to education and assistance planning and document them in the electronic case files. You cooperate with families of origin, the specialist service and relevant external partners such as schools, kitas, offices or therapists. You accompany school and professional challenges and help achieve individual learning and development goals. You create varied leisure, group and everyday offers that promote community and individual skills. You have a degree as an educator with additional medical education and ideally with professional experience in child and youth assistance. Continuing training in the field of trauma education or the systemic approach is advantageous. You bring an appreciation and resource-oriented view of young people. You bring joy and interest in working with traumatized children and young people. In addition, you are characterized by team skills, sense of responsibility, reliability and a high personal commitment. You stand for a professional approach to proximity and distance. The willingness to services on weekends/days and night work is of course for you. Dealing with the current MS Office applications is just as necessary as a class B licence.
