Academic Councillor for the Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art on Paper, Archive and Library Material (d/f/m)

Participation in the preparation and implementation of courses, lectures, examinations and excursions. Participation in the supervision of project work, semester, BA and MA work as well as in administrative matters within the teaching establishment. In addition, the guidance of the students on independent scientific work and cooperation on projects of the study programme.

Adjustment requirements are a completed university study of conservation and restoration with a focus on works of art on paper and/or archive and library goods and several years of professional experience. We expect above-average commitment, willingness to team work and planning and organizational talent. Very good language skills in German in word and writing are assumed, very good English language skills are desirable. Didactic skills are desired in the mediation of theory and practice, a proven specialization in the field of graphic restoration and/or book restoration, experience in dealing with non-contact and non-destructive examination and documentation methods or the willingness to work into these methods, as well as good IT skills. Furthermore, the willingness to interdisciplinary activity, in particular in exchange with the subject group conservation restoration.
