Technical Manager for Road Maintenance

Our Road Transport Infrastructure Unit is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the transport network within port boundaries. We are therefore responsible for maintaining the value of road transport and for ensuring traffic. In the case of renewals of roads, we always have a look at the future requirements for the transport systems, including in terms of performance and sustainability.

Our heart beats for the Port of Hamburg, which connects us! You run the staff employed professionally, organize the operational entertainment of the road network and ensure traffic safety and technical availability. Visits, logs, and implementation of the directional guidance for the spectator, you are monitoring and developing road records and documentation systems. Maintenance measures are taxed according to ZTV BEA, priority measures and first call documents, cost determinations and framework contracts. Operational tasks such as winter service, walkway cleaning, road drainage and rainwater treatment plants are responsible for compliance with water regulations. You coordinate construction participants, check warranty lists and ensure smooth operations during operation. Date, cost and quality control are your tasks as well as business planning, controlling, billing and reporting. High-quality tasks such as opinions, permits, excavation monitoring and the acceptance of private measures are carried out legally. The takeover of third-party projects into operation is organised by you and agrees closely with authorities, internal units and external partners.

You have a degree in civil engineering, ideally focusing on road construction, or have equivalent knowledge and experience. Known road engineering expertise, in particular in operational entertainment, road monitoring or in the operation of rainwater treatment plants, are a feature. RSA, StVO/VwV, ZTV SA as well as technical standards, guidelines, procurement regulations and ideally the Hamburger Wegegesetz are you sure to master. You have very good port knowledge or the ability to work quickly into complex port infrastructures. Target-oriented, independent work and a cooperative approach to all stakeholders are your strengths. Communication and Conflictability, professional appearance and self-initiative and sense of responsibility. Economic thinking, negotiation skills and enforcement skills support you in the daily management of operational measures. You meet sound decisions, tax external partners and ensure a safe, efficient and available road infrastructure.
