We are looking for a Principal / Senior Network Architect (m/w/d) that takes over the management, design, development and further development of our global corporate network infrastructure, focusing on data center technologies, routing and switching as well as network security. The ideal candidate is an experienced expert with CCIE certification (or equivalent experience), knowledge of network and security technologies and practical experience with firewall and proxy solutions. This position requires strategic thinking, technical leadership qualities and operational excellence to support highly available, secure and scalable network environments. Design and design of a powerful, high-availability network infrastructure for data centers, cloud connectivity and enterprise WAN / LAN environments Technical management of network design initiatives focusing on routing, switching and network segmentation Definition and enforcement of network security architectures and standards, including firewalls, segmentation and zero-trust principles. Function as expert (SME) for Cisco networks (m/w/d) (Nexus, Catalyst, ISR / ASR, ACI), Check Point firewalls, Load Balancer and proxy environments Working with cyber security teams to implement secure-by-design architectures and to ensure compliance with legal and policy-related requirements Expand capacity planning, performance optimization and optimization of network infrastructure in hybrid environments (on site and in the cloud) Management of initiatives to modernise the network, including SON, automation and network as code Creating comprehensive documentation for architecture, design decisions and implementation procedures

This location can be occupied at the locations in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Kassel, Kiel, Neuenstadt and Unterlüß or possibly remotely.

Completed studies in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or comparable training Influential, multiannual experience in the design and management of corporate network infrastructures as well as in the area of data center network design (Fabric architecture) and connectivity to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Existing CCIE certification (preferably routing & switching or enterprise infrastructure) Other relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP, Check Point CCSA / CCSE, Palo Alto) as well as knowledge of SINA encryption technologies and BSI requirements are of advantage Proven expertise in Cisco technologies: Nexus (5K / 7K / 9K), Catalyst, ISR / ASR, ACI, SD-WAN and DNA Center Comprehensive experience with checkpoint firewall solutions, including central administration and threat prevention Knowledge of network security architecture, VPN, segmentation, access control and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO / IEC 27001, NIST) Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Ability to cope with a dynamic, fast-paced working environment and very good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
