The site is located in the area of total vehicle development and part of a pre-development project to the megawatt store. The megawatt load represents a key technology for battery-electric trucks with some technical challenges. Within the scope of the project, different concepts are presented, a prototype system of a charging path is built up and evaluated with regard to technical feasibility. In addition, our department evaluates technical innovations, in particular for automated charging of eTrucks, with regard to technical feasibility and customer benefits.

In this context, there are several tasks for the internship: Support in concept analysis and concept execution for a high-performance load path in the utility vehicle. In addition to the technical feasibility, economic parameters of a possible concept are also relevant to the customer. Integration of the battery and charging path concepts into an overall vehicle concept, in close coordination with the respective specialist departments. Concept analysis & evaluation of automated charging Another aspect of the project is the analysis of use cases to the megawatt shop, which are to be derived from both big data analyses and user stories. For the internship, the main task may be determined depending on the suitability and area of interest.
