With the one since 1 Oct. In 2023, W3 Professorship for Clinical Hygiene is the subject of hygiene and environmental medicine with the campus-crossing institute for hospital and environmental hygiene at the Medical Faculty of the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel academically anchored in teaching and research and integrated with the hospital hygiene in the patient care at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH). The Institute for Hospital and Environmental Hygiene is organised across campus, and the tasks are met at Kiel and Lübeck sites by our team of experienced hygienists / hygienists and hygienists. The UKSH hospital hygiene is primarily concerned with the prevention of nosocomial infections in the clinics and patient care areas at Campus Kiel and Campus Lübeck.
