In the Department of Urban Development, Building, Environment and Mobility, the management of the Department of Civil Engineering, Transport and Green (Bes.Gr. A 16 NBesG / EG 15 TVöD Supplement) is to be reimbursed.

With around 200 employees at five locations, the department has central importance for life in the city. Here are the courses for mobility, quality of stay, climate adaptation and modern infrastructure. The focus is on the construction, operation and entertainment of roads, roads, squares, bridges, cemeteries and green areas. Topics such as traffic law, building site coordination, geodata management or winter service are also included.

Notes from the city of Hildesheim: A grouping is set according to EC 15 TVED for employees. The use of the tariff financial margins for the collection of personnel in justified cases may be envisaged. An occupational pension scheme, performance-oriented payment as well as annual special payment depend on the TVöD. You lead the department with personnel, organizational and financial responsibility. You strategically and operationally control the areas of civil engineering, transport and greenery with an annual investment volume of around 40 million euros. You implement the strategic goals of the city of Hildesheim in the fields of action mobility, civil engineering and urban green and are driving exciting construction and planning projects in this context. You work on complex quarter developments, including the development of industrial and residential areas or the port infrastructure. You design modern organisational structures and coordinate cross-disciplinary processes. You represent the area of expertise in political bodies as well as in urban society and develop sustainable solutions together with internal and external partners.

Successfully completed scientific university studies in a discipline suitable for this task (e.g. civil engineering or industrial engineering) or the career qualification for the second entry office of the category 2 of the technical services. Alternatively, you are other employees who can determine the level of equivalence due to equivalent skills and experience. Long-standing leadership experience and a high degree of decision-making, communication strength and interdisciplinary cooperation. Long-standing professional experience in civil engineering or in gardening and landscape construction, ideally in public service, as well as a deep understanding of complex planning, construction and entertainment processes in areas such as civil engineering, transport or urban green. Experience in dealing with political bodies as well as a successful conclusion of the Great State Examination are desirable.
