You will be hired as an IT specialist in the IT system house. Possible places of work for this tender are: Nuremberg/Fürth, Berlin, Chemnitz, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Krefeld, Lübeck, Mainz. Please enter your preferred working place (possibly several) as part of an application. A stable IT network is of fundamental importance for the Federal Employment Agency. As a team, we are responsible for ensuring that all users can work and communicate with BA's IT systems in the same quality nationwide. Our team takes care of the fact that network communication in the Datacenter (Nürnberg) is highly comprehensive and secure. The tasks of the team on the topic of networking in the data center are broad and diverse. We have an open and cooperative atmosphere in which we work closely together and support each other. It is also possible for us to apply outside regular working hours. Of course, we offer you the opportunity to approach the latest technologies with individual qualifications. You are responsible for operating and developing a large data center network infrastructure, currently based on Cisco (ACI Fabric and NX-OS). You ideally have many years of experience with large, demanding networks and in designing complex datacenter network architectures. Knowledge in programming/automating in the context of operational processes is advantageous. Tasks and activities deriving the required role-specific tasks from predetermined objectives, independent implementation of tasks and guidance of others: Planning, management and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructures Analysis of system requirements and performance data Development, updating and monitoring of software and updating and monitoring of hardware Identification and elimination of system problems Ensuring system availability and security Your use takes place as a Specialist System Engineer (w/m/d) in the area of Network Datacenter. Specifically, the following tasks and responsibilities are assumed: You are responsible for the further development and stable operation of a large data center network infrastructure (approximately 750 data center switches), currently based on Cisco (ACI Fabric and NX-OS) You plan LifeCycle actions and advance the development of solutions to automate operational processes using scripts/programming languages Conception and implementation of distributed system architectures for network management taking into account high availability and scalability

Higher education or comparable qualifications (priorities: computer science, business informatics) Multi-annual professional experience or comparable profile Knowledge and practical experience in the following areas are of advantage or desirable In-depth knowledge of the development and/or operation of software solutions and infrastructure Knowledge of software solutions and/or infrastructure troubleshooting Knowledge of programming languages and/or adapting software solutions and infrastructures, including Python for automation tasks and API interactions Knowledge of networks and network architectures
