Cloud Foundation and Network Operation and further development of the STACKIT basics: networks, DNS zones, gateways, firewall rules, TLS/certificate management. IAM/RBAC at infrastructure level: accounts, permissions, service opportunities, access control. Ensuring network connectivity to external partners and interfaces (e.g. BITBW, source systems, IdP integrations). Project setup & Account management Building and maintaining standards for new products and environments. Account/project/namespace setup incl. quota and cost allocation. Standardization of environmental structures (Dev/Eval/Prod) across all products. Basic resources & lifecycle Provisioning and lifecycle management of the basic resources: Compute, Storage, Kubernetes Cluster Foundation. Capacity planning and resource optimization in coordination with the platform team. Backup infrastructure and storage concepts at infrastructure level. Cost Governance & Compliance FinOps basics: cloud budgets, cost reports and optimization proposals. Compliance with public sector compliance requirements (C5, ISO 27001, GDPR). Documentation of infrastructure in CMDB and operating documents. Automation & Standards Infrastructure as Code: Terraform modules for network, IAM and base resources. Standardized, reusable patterns for new environments and products. Documentation, runbooks and enablement for platform and product teams.
Experience as Cloud Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Engineer with focus on cloud platforms. Good knowledge of network technology (DNS, Routing, TLS, Firewalling, Gateways) and Cloud-IAM/RBAC. Practice with infrastructure as code (terraform) and versioning of infrastructure. Solid understanding of Kubernetes (cluster setup, networking, storage, RBAC). Routine with Linux and bash/scripting. Structured work, documentary affinity and joy in standards that make life easier for others. Strong communication in German and English (word and writing). Nice to have Experience with STACKIT or comparable European/souvereign cloud platforms FinOps knowledge (budgets, cost optimization) Certificate Management (Let's Encrypt, cert-manager, mTLS) Experience with Public Sector Requirements (C5, BSI Basic Protection, GDPR) Knowledge of Secrets Management and Compliance Automation
