Joining us means becoming part of a global team whose goal is to build the most desirable cars in the world. Together for excellence.

Number: MER0003WVM The core competency of the RD/ET center (train & electric drives) is the development and testing of electrical drives and transmissions as well as all essential drivetrain components, such as side and articulated shafts. Only the perfect combination of all components gives a system that ensures driving pleasure, driving comfort and optimal efficiency. The RD/ETX (PLE & System eATS2.0 Plus) department is responsible for the first electric drive (eATS2.0) internally developed and internally produced by Mercedes-Benz, which is used both in the compact vehicles and in the vehicles of the middle class up to the top class including AMG. From the volume segment to AMG, this drive provides a wide range of power and torque. The PLE & System eATS2.0 Plus team develops the most powerful eATS2.0 derivatives. Our team consists of 6 highly motivated and friendly colleagues who are looking forward to your support. We attach great importance to communicating at eye level, directly and in regular exchange dates. In addition, it is important for us to deal constructively and honestly with each other. Mobile work is regularly used by us. The internship is involved in the newly established system development process. In the event of requirements from the entire vehicle, the system engineering (SE) applies to the increasingly complex functionalities in the early phase of the development process to develop, specify and validate all functionally involved systems and components in the electrical power train. It is becoming increasingly important for the systems to describe the system architecture (components, interfaces, information and power flow, active chains/dependencies, functionalities and operating strategies) from scratch in the MBSE (Model-based System Engineering) tools. A central task of this internship is to build up this system architecture together with the participating system engineers for the eATS2.0 in MBSE. The theme includes the following tasks: Participation in the system development reco of the Mercedes Benz electric HA drive systems

Participation in the overarching system rounds of the eDrive in the frame of the SE (system engineering)

Introduction to the MBSE tool world of RD/E

Conception/design of the eATS.2.0 system architecture in the tool used

regular reports on the state of development

Identification of topics/tasks around system engineering, which can be supported with AI, and their implementation

The activity can begin from March 2026.

Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or Comparable

Safe handling of Microsoft Office

Affinity for work in the digital environment including their tools

Experience in the field of development drivetrain, sound knowledge in the field of eATS or hybrid development of advantage

German and English skills

Reliable processing of complex problems in interdisciplinary teams

Communication and team capability, loadability
