The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions in Germany and is one of the leading organisations for application-oriented research. Around 32 000 employees develop the annual research volume of 3.4 billion euros. The ''Fraunhofer Auslandsgesellschaft und Representations'' department provides the Fraunhofer Institutes and the Management Board with sound experience and services for international cooperation and business development and supports the development of strategies and instruments for scientific cooperation worldwide. She focuses on the cooperation of the Fraunhofer Institutes with the independent Fraunhofer subsidiaries and the Fraunhofer representatives abroad. The core task is to provide quality-proof support and further development of foreign trade and to ensure efficient international cooperation.

Completed university degree (Diplom/Master), preferably natural sciences, economy or relevant courses Professional experience in a corresponding position in science institutions and business, already in the international context The ability to effectively balance responsibility and degrees of freedom Knowledge of research and innovation management and European and non-European research landscape Practice in the support of bodies, in strategy development and in the management of complex projects in an interface function Oral and written communication strength in reliable German and English as well as ideally other languages Sovereign appearance and intercultural competence, also for (international) missions
