For the BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we are looking for you as a monitoring specialist at the Berlin site in an indefinite position. The Monitoring Department is an essential part of the technical monitoring and evaluation of plants by analysis and evaluation of the operating data. The continuous recording and evaluation of plant measurement data makes it possible to obtain an overview of the plant mode (operating situation), the process media consumption and the plant state. This monitoring allows us to identify risks at an early stage, plan necessary maintenance measures in time and counteract the failure of aggregates or the entire plant. In addition, through more transparency and usable information, we can operate the systems more flexibly and more efficiently and react more proactively to market changes. We are looking for a:n highly qualified:n and motivated:n Expert:into the exergy-based and data-driven optimization of the mode of operation of climate-neutral production systems, with a clear focus on digitalization, AI applications and cost-effectiveness. In this role, you make a significant contribution to the increase in plant availability and efficiency and contribute significantly to the optimization of our maintenance measures by providing a holistic analysis of operating, state and performance data and by providing robust decision-making bases. Your tasks You develop, implement and operate monitoring and analysis concepts to optimize the availability, reliability and energy efficiency of our production facilities. You identify and coordinate optimization projects, answer data acquisition and

• analysis and conducts economic and investment calculations. You identify optimization potentials as part of climate-neutral transformation and implement exergy-based optimization projects to increase efficiency, flexibility and economy. You create and use models, simulations as well as scenario-based analyses (thermal, process engineering, data transmissions) for decision support. You use AI/AI methods to analyze, forecast and optimize the system mode. You actively participate in the further development of digital monitoring tools, data structures and the department's digitization strategy, including the linking of operating, maintenance, plant strategy and cost data to a holistic plant state image. You work with the collection, analysis and visualization of technical data, and you will start meaningful dashboards, presentations and reporting to develop complex relationships in a comprehensible and action-oriented manner. You analyze the state, performance and mode of operation of generation systems, aggregates, components and processes using technical characteristics. In case of malfunctions or noticeable plant behavior, you analyze causes, execute measures and support operations and maintenance in the case of fault analysis and troubleshooting.

Graduate degree in energy, process, electrical engineering or a comparable technical field Multiannual professional experience at expert level in energy production or a comparable industrial environment Experience gained in the analysis, modelling and evaluation of technical data and in the derivation of technical and economic decisions Ideal knowledge and practical experience in:

• Condition, Predictive and Prescriptive Monitoring
• Simulations, model-based analysis and digital twins Very good knowledge of measurement, control and control technology and the analysis of complex technical systems Safe handling of operating data and monitoring systems, in particular OSIsoft/AVEVA PI, SAP PM, Matlab, Phyton or comparable solutions; Experience with visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) of advantage Knowledge of statistical methods, mathematics, algorithms, programming or machine learning is desirable Strong analytical thinking, structured and independent working methods as well as high problem-solving competence and self-initiative Teamability, communication strength and the ability to clearly and address complex facts Flowing German knowledge in word and writing on at least level C1 are a must You meet about 70 percent of the requirements?
