We make port: With great passion, we keep running the infrastructure of the Port of Hamburg around the clock. We are more than 1,900 HPA colleagues who drive forward advanced ideas to develop Hamburg's heart and make the port a bit more sustainable every day.

METHA (mechanical separation of port sediments) is a one-time mechanical engineering plant and is operated to ensure the water depths in the Port of Hamburg for international shipping at any time. It has the task of preparing the polluted sediment in the port according to ground-mechanical aspects.

You carry out the ongoing inspections and document them carefully. You carry out cleaning and maintenance work. You adjust and calibrate mechanical control and control devices in order to meet the operational requirements. If you detect disturbances, you eliminate them in agreement. You mount and disassemble plant parts and take over the out and commissioning after repair and stoppage. In the night shift and in the holiday period of laboratory technology, you carry out the sampling of slick samples.

You bring a completed 3-year training from one of the following areas: Construction mechanics, chemistry, plant mechanics, etc. You are fully usable in 3-shift operation and are happy to work in the team. You love finding solutions for any yet so tricky technical problem. You think and trade economically, go through our plant with an attentive eye and grab it.
