Short presentation and your tasks

The M52 station has 14 patient beds with central monitor monitoring and infusion management. The focus of our haematooncological IMC station is the treatment and care of patients in highly dosed chemotherapy, whole body radiation and allogenic stem cell transplantation. This includes nursing care before, during and after the therapy as well as further treatment in case of any complications such as repulsion reactions or infections. A patient-oriented, holistic care from reception to dismissal is very important to us. They are contact persons for patients and their relatives in a challenging life situation that require both nursing, emotional and psychosocial support. The preparation, assistance and aftercare of therapeutic measures such as antibody/inhibition-lobulin therapies, various punctures (bone mark, liquor, pleura and ascites puncture) and the handling of blood products as well as coagulation preparations as well as the care of patients subject to surveillance and/or isolated are also part of their task. They work in a multi-professional and specialized team, which is distinguished by cross-disciplinary cooperation and is co-worker-oriented.
