Clerk in the field of nature conservation law and landscape conservation

As a specialist in the UNB, you play a key role in the implementation and enforcement of nature conservation law. Your area of responsibility is characterized by the independent processing of complex nature-protection issues: Completion of the intervention regulation: Leading nature-protection licensing procedures for interventions in nature and landscape Examination and assessment of procedures and the establishment and legal protection of compensation and replacement measures Communication and coordination of the different stakeholders, time-limit monitoring and audit of projects Participation in construction and planning procedures: Participation as a specialist authority and the creation of nature-protection opinions in construction planning procedures (e.g. land use plans, construction plans) and other authorisation procedures Assessment of the compatibility of projects with the objectives of nature conservation and landscape management and coordination with the technical nature conservation and, where appropriate, the Higher Nature Conservation Authority Completion of the special type-protection law: examination of the facts of art and the processing of exceptions and exemptions Completion of the statutory biotope protection: Processing of matters of the statutory biotope protection, including requests for exemption from the prohibitions Processing of small cases and offences: violating violations of the laws of nature Consultation and communication: Competent consultation of citizens, municipalities and other authorities on matters relating to nature conservation.

For this demanding activity, we are looking for a dedicated personality that has both sound legal knowledge and a strong understanding of nature conservation issues: A successfully completed study in the upscale non-technical administration service (Diplom-Managementswirt/in (FH), Bachelor of Arts – Public Management) or a comparable qualification Funded knowledge in environmental law, in particular in nature conservation law (Bundesnaturschutzgesetz BNatSchG, Landesnaturschutzgesetz Baden-Württemberg LNatSchG BW), general administrative law (Verwaltungverfahrensgesetz VwVfG, Verwaltungsgerichtsordnung VwGO) and adjacent legal areas such as building and planning law (Baugesetzbuch BauGB) Ideally, first professional experience in the field of nature conservation or in a comparable administrative activity Impressive analytical thinking and the ability to legally evaluate complex facts and to render them understandable Secure and sovereign communication skills in word and writing as well as a binding and professional appearance High self-initiative, sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently, reliable and systematic Openness for new challenges and the willingness to continue professional development Team skills and cooperation Good knowledge of common computer programs (especially MS-Office) Class B driving licence and the readiness to carry out regular external service activities (local inspections) with private cars or service cars
