Your training as an industrial mechanic takes 3.5 years. During this time, you will learn everything you need for your later field of maintenance at Corning and at the vocational school. This is what you learn in training as an industrial mechanic: Manual and machine material processing Thermal material processing (solving, welding) Construction, expansion and testing of pneumatic and electropneumatic components of control technology Assembly and demonting of components, assemblies and systems as well as waiting for equipment Self-planning and organizing work Quality assurance and occupational safety
