Team Lead (m/w/d) Financial Accounting

On behalf of a modern company in the field of building and security solutions, we are looking for a full-time head of financial accounting (m/w/d) in Cologne – as part of direct placement. In this key position, you take over the leadership of a competent accounting team, drive optimizations in the financial sector and implement your expertise in a targeted manner. You guide the financial accounting team both professionally and disciplinaryly and ensure a smooth run in the daily business You develop existing accounting processes and actively shape the digital development of the financial sector The ongoing monitoring of debitor, creditor and asset accounting and effective liquidity management are your responsibility You make sure that all relevant financial data will be forwarded to authorities and institutions on time The creation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements is your own responsibility and supports budgeting and financial planning You deal with tax issues, issue reports, such as the sales tax pre-registration, and apply for tax audits As a central interface, you coordinate internal and external testing processes and are in regular exchange with tax advisors, banks and public authorities You are responsible for intra-group voting, billing processes and organize all payment transactions

You have a completed degree in the field of business management or a comparable commercial qualification – ideally supplemented by a further education, e.g. the account holder You bring several years of experience in a similar position – at best in the international environment Your expertise in financial accounting is comprehensive, as well as your routine in the preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly and annually) You have already taken responsibility for a team and draw your attention through strong coordination and organizational skills You communicate safely in German and English – in writing as oral The use of ERP systems is familiar to you, as well as the use of MS Office – especially Excel, you are confident Your analytical skills combined with conceptual thinking allow you to work in a structured, targeted way You work independently, get proactive and convince by team skills and clear communication
