In the Energy Networks, Regulatory and Mobility business unit, we work together with the electricity and gas network operators to bring the energy to the customer even in the case of changed feed-in behavior of renewable energies and new customer requirements such as e-mobility and storage. We work in close cooperation with our member companies, who send long-term experts as well as executives to the BDEW's committees.

Electric distribution networks not only integrate new producers such as wind and photovoltaics, but also new consumers such as heat pumps and electric mobility. You coordinate basic questions for power distribution networks. The focus is on their contribution to system stability and good communication of challenges. System stability and system services: The changed energy system poses great challenges for transmission networks and distribution networks. In an interdisciplinary team, you coordinate the questions about redispatch and system services and support solutions for secure power supply. Support in further projects is possible, e.g. on the topic of network charges. In your work you can understand different perspectives and become a common perspective. You accompany changes with empathy and good communication. Webinars, events, talks – you are an expert when it comes to making topics understandable and advancing the energy transition. You represent the BDEW to the outside, for example at conferences, as well as to authorities and ministries.

You have a successful degree (Diplom/Master), with a technical or scientific focus. You bring interest in the energy transition and enjoy accompanying and shaping this dynamic development. Complex facts you capture quickly and you can understand them, methods of dealing with complexity and uncertainty are known to you. You have fun working independently, coordinating and organizing. This is reflected in the successes of your projects and projects. You'll be prudent and transparent, and you'll find efficient solutions in the team through an active dialogue.
