Controller in Medical Controlling (m/w/d)

The Altonaer Kinderkrankenhaus, founded in 1859, today has 221 stationary beds and 31 seats for semi-stationary treatments. In a total of 11 medical specialist departments, approx. 16,000 patients are inpatient and semi-stationary and 45,000 patients are outpatiently treated. The AKK has state-of-the-art diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical techniques and is involved in the training of medical students as an academic teaching hospital at the University of Hamburg. The AKK is a subsidiary of the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE).

In this responsible position, you are part of our dedicated controlling team and bring your expertise specifically to develop central processes at the interface between medical specialist, administration and external partners. Your tasks at a glance: – key contact person (m/w/d) for the content orientation and quality assurance regarding the topics coding and documentation of hospital services as well as their remuneration and billing – Design and further development of the related processes taking into account legal requirements – independent coordination of billing actions including close coordination with legal advice – Implementation of internal training on DRG systems, coding and documentation – Participation in MD structural tests as well as their organizational and content preparation – Processing and coordination of legally required messages

– completed studies in healthcare (e.g. medical, nursing, health or hospital management) or comparable qualification alternative multiannual relevant professional experience – ideally first practical experience in medical control ling or hospitalization – safe handling of MS Office (especially Excel); Knowledge in SAP and Datawarehouse systems are beneficial – analytical and conceptual thinking, coupled with an independent, accurate, structured and responsible way of working – Communication strength, team skills and enforcement skills are just as good as a professional approach to sensitive topics
