Thesis Research & Development - New Product Development Fastening Technology (m/f/d)

Become part of the development team “Consolidation Technology” and write your final work in our state-of-the-art Reinhold Würth Innovation Center CURIO. You will design the fastening technology of tomorrow and perform the following tasks: You analyze the current state of the art for screws, power tools and processing systems. In addition, you systematically evaluate market and competitors in terms of products, system solutions and technological trends. You identify user requirements on site in crafts and industry. From this, you will guide specific product ideas for portfolio expansion or optimization. Selected product ideas are validated by first prototypes or functional patterns. Finally, you formulate recommendations for action for future development projects. Through regular coordination with your supervisor, you will receive the necessary support at any time to advance your work successfully.

You are studying mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, technology management or a comparable degree program. Good CAD skills, ideally in SolidWorks, are helpful for this thesis. Ideally, you have collected first project experience in the technical environment and are happy to work handcrafted. A pragmatic, practical way of working as well as analytical skills characterize you. You bring your own initiative, creativity, self-employment, team skills and communication strength. Very good knowledge of German (C1) and good knowledge of English complete your profile.

Your mission is rewarded. For a mandatory internship, you can expect 1,400 € gross per month. If you do a voluntary internship for four months or longer or write your thesis with us, you will receive € 2,420 gross per month.
