Project Manager Transformation Hohe Schaar – Site Development with a Focus on Remediation of Contaminated Sites and Earthworks

The Technical Division (TD) is responsible for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the core harbour infrastructure with a total of around 600 employees. We offer a wide range of technical engineering expertise and comprehensive technical and project management services. In the Infrastructure Projects department, we plan and build new infrastructure projects in the port. For the management of the “Transformation Hohe Schaar” project, we are looking for a specialist who, with her experience and high expertise in complex old-load situations and refurbishment requirements, takes the challenge of converting a former refinery and tank storage site into a new modern use for green energy imports, their storage and distribution. You conduct the project and coordinate a project team with a variety of tasks in the reconstruction, rehabilitation and development. The support of your team in the development and coordination of refurbishment and installation concepts with authorities is part of your daily business. You accompany the team in all construction and refurbishment measures – including monitoring and success control. In Steering Circles you represent the interests of the HPA and regularly report on the progress of the project in project management and leadership routines. You are responsible for project management and for time, cost and quality throughout the project. Technically, you check risk assessments and refurbishment plans and introduce your know-how in environmental due diligence processes for land purchases. With your team you develop innovative, sustainable recovery methods and implement them together with authorities. By creating work aids and active knowledge transfer, you strengthen the further development of environmental technology.

You have a completed university degree (uni/master) in the field of geosciences, environmental sciences, environmental technology or a comparable scientific or engineering discipline. You bring multi-year project experience in waste processing, land recycling, soil protection and mineral waste disposal. You will surely use knowledge of soil and waste law as well as preparatory studies for development planning. Experience in the creation of hazard assessments and ideally also in the creation of refurbishment concepts and the support of refurbishment measures you already bring. You have leadership skills and control your project team clearly, value-estimating and target-oriented. You work independently, responsibly and safely in complex technical and legal contexts. Analytical thinking, structured working methods and high documentation security are what distinguishes you. You communicate clearly, advise safely in the interdisciplinary environment and work in the team.
