Scientific Volontariat in Restoration, paper area Opened in 2016, the House of the Graphic Collection houses the graphic collections of the Augustinian Museum and the Museum of New Art with a total of approx. 90,000 leaves. With three depots for graphics and photographic materials, a graphic and textile restoration, a graphical exchange exhibition space, which is played several times a year, and a delivery zone, all important functional areas are united under one roof. You help with the graphic collections of the Augustinian Museum and the Museum of New Art (print graphics, drawings, book painting, photography, contemporary art). You are involved in the prevention of damage, the creation of conservation and restoration concepts, their practical implementation and documentation. With the conservative support of the temporary exhibitions as well as the temporary transport, you can help. You will present objects for new special exhibitions at the Haus der Graphischen Sammlung, Augustinermuseum and Museum für Neue Kunst (independent planning and implementation of conservative-restauratoric measures and scientific-art technology studies). You support new accesses in the graphical area and prepare the storage and inclusion in the collection.

A completed scientific university degree (Master / Magister / Diploma) of preservation/ restoration in the field of paper. In the best case, you have knowledge of photography and are familiar with the common software programs (MS-Office and image processing programs) as well as museum databases. Experiences in museum work can be gathered by internships. You are an open-minded, collaborative and responsible personality with commitment and organizational talent.
