Hermann Sewerin GmbH, headquartered in Gütersloh, is an internationally active family business and has been specializing in the development and production of modern measuring and tracking technology for many decades. In the context of a long-term future, we are looking for a management of accounting and controlling (m/w/d). A comprehensive incorporation and structured transfer by the current job owner is ensured.

In this key position, you play a central role in the management, financial management and future-oriented development of finance, accounting and controlling. In addition to ensuring proper accounting, you actively shape the company's financial strategy, establish a data-based control culture and drive the digitalization and use of artificial intelligence within the financial organization.

General responsibility and leadership: You lead the accounting and controlling and lead, motivate and develop the employees and the department in terms of the company's strategic orientation. Strategic corporate governance: You establish a data-based control culture through meaningful key figures, analyses and action recommendations, and build transparent management reports and dashboards to support sound decisions. Process optimization and digitization: You identify vulnerabilities in existing financial, reporting and controlling processes and control cross-departmental improvement measures to increase transparency, quality and efficiency. Future technologies and AI: You design and implement an AI strategy in the financial sector, automate recurring activities, optimize forecasts and promote the company-wide use of data analyses. Interface and Stakeholder Management: You control the existing internal interfaces and actively convey the mode of operation of controlling and data-based decisions within the company. External representation: You communicate with external partners such as auditors, tax advisors, authorities, banks and insurance companies and manage the annual accounts processes independently.

Qualification found: You bring a successfully completed degree in Business Administration/Economics with a focus on finance/accounting or comparable training in the financial sector. Experience counts: You look back on a multi-year-old, well-founded practice in accounting and controlling and have demonstrable leadership experience for at least five employees. Technical security: You safely apply HGB accounting and have a deep understanding of corporate governance and financial planning. IT and system affinity: You have experience in dealing with modern BI, reporting and ERP systems and have fun in establishing new tools. Ideally, you have practical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and adjacent systems. Innovation spirit: You present practical experience in digital transformation projects in accounting, show great interest in new technologies and bring together initial experience with AI and automation solutions. Personality: You convince by an analytical, strategic and entrepreneurial way of thinking as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working. You are an empathic leadership and have an open ear for the concerns of your employees. Language knowledge: You communicate with a strong and secure language in English and German.
