Your area: Workplace Management Our team is responsible for operating and developing Linux clients that are used as a daily working environment. We ensure that these systems work stable, safe and user-friendly and are seamlessly integrated into an existing Windows infrastructure. A special focus of our work is on automation, software packaging and Troubleshooting. With our expertise, we create the basis for the safe and efficient use of open source technologies in administration. This makes an important contribution to digital sovereignty and a powerful IT infrastructure.

Your main activity: You manage, configure and maintain Linux clients in a Windows-dominated environment. This includes the integration of Linux clients into existing Windows infrastructures (e.g. Active Directory, Fileservices). You are responsible for the automation and configuration management as well as the packaging of applications. You perform advanced troubleshooting and debugging in the Linux desktop environment. You serve end users with regard to user support and incident handling. Your task also includes: You are responsible for monitoring and logging the Linux clients to ensure operational stability. You maintain documentation as well as knowledge databases and work with teams in the field of network, Windows administration and IT security.

You bring with them: Graduate degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics or in a degree course with IT reference As an alternative to studies: Completion as an operating professional or many years of relevant professional experience in IT Knowledge in the field: Linux Administration (SUSE Linux Enterprise, OpenSUSE or comparable) Troubleshooting including scripting (e.g. Python) and bundling (e.g. rpmbuild) Know-how in configuration and automation management, preferably with Ansible Experience with Linux desktop specific topics (e.g. KDE, Firefox, Thunderbird, NetworkManager) Security knowledge (e.g. UEFI, LUKS, Certificate Management, SELinux, VPN) Secure German (in Word and Writing)

In all other cases, you will be hired for the first half year in the 10 TV-L payment group. The grouping into the 12 TV-L payment group is carried out if you have at least three years of practical experience in this area.
