System Engineer Database (m/w/d)

The team of “Core-Operating System Services” is the backbone of our IT infrastructure. We ensure that our system landscape is always at the highest level – safe, reliable and quick to flash. From the administration to the maintenance of all database environments in the company, we have everything firmly under control throughout Europe and thus ensure the smooth operation of our IT both on site and in hybrid environments.

You are responsible for the operation and further development of the Markant Oracle and MS SQL databases. You run system updates and upgrades to ensure high security standards. You take the planning and execution of DB migrations (e.g. Unix/AIX to VMware/RHEL). You carry out bug analyses and fixes in cooperation with the IT and customer service teams. You create and provide technical documentation and operating instructions. You support the planning and implementation of projects and participate in our willingness to call.

You have extensive knowledge of Oracle database administration. You have experience in MS SQL administration. You have experience in scripting and automation using Shell scripts, Python and PowerShell. You are familiar with Linux and VMware. You already have experience with SQL and PL/SQL. You have basic knowledge about operating systems, networks and IT architectures.
