Your mission As Senior Data & AI Engineer (m/w/d), you are a key contributor to the development and integration of our data infrastructure and AI-based systems. You develop modern data pipelines, data platforms and models and innovative RAG solutions in hybrid environments (Azure and On-Premises) and create the basis for data-driven decisions. Your focus is on the interface between AI, software development and data processing. Your tasks You develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines that efficiently integrate and process large amounts of data from different sources. You unleash data architectures and data models based on Azure services and secure their seamless integration into existing systems. You develop and optimize RAG workflows that combine scientific data with LLMs and vector databases. You are using data from Azure Databricks, vector databases and other sources in LLM-based applications. You develop APIs and Microservices to efficiently integrate AI models and scientific data. You develop innovative solutions for AI-based automation of laboratory processes and scientific workflows. Your profile Completed studies in computer science, data engineering, data science or a comparable discipline. Multiannual experience in designing and implementing modern data engineering and AI solutions in cloud and hybrid environments. Comprehensive knowledge of Azure services in the fields of storage, analytics, AI and databases. Experience in software development with Python as well as in the development of APIs and Microservices. English knowledge, German knowledge of advantage
