Within the ZAB, the expert panel for academic medical professions and health professionals (GfG) was established in 2016 to support the recognition authorities of the countries in evaluating foreign professional qualifications in the field of health. The GfG offers the authorities authenticity checks of documents, it examines the completeness of the foreign qualifications and, even with the inclusion of professional experience and lifelong learning, prepares detailed reports on the equivalence of foreign training with the German qualifications in this sensitive area. As part of our international team, you as a dental adviser / dental adviser in the GfG help to ensure that foreign dentists and dentists in Germany can obtain the best possible recognition of their qualifications and that patient protection is preserved.

Since the comparative scale is the German training, it is your task to keep in mind current developments in German dental training. The evaluation also includes aspects of foreign educational systems, which you observe and analyze together with expert colleagues. Since good cooperation with the competent authorities can significantly speed up the recognition procedures, you can also support the colleagues there in individual cases by telephone or by e-mail outside the regular expert presentation or actively participate in exchanges with the employees there.
