The Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main is one of the largest universities in Germany with around 41,000 students and around 7,000 employees. Our group focuses on all aspects of system and network security. The focus is on the Internet and critical infrastructures. We develop innovative cyber security and privacy protection solutions, also in cooperation with partners from industry and politics. Most of our research is done in cooperation with leading academic and industrial institutions from all over the world. The group works very closely with the National Research Centre for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE and the Fraunhofer Institute for Safe Information Technology SIT in Darmstadt. Prof. Schulmann is a member of the Board of ATHENE and the group supports the project finances of all research groups of the Goethe University participating in ATHENE.
