Head of IT Service (m/f/d)

With pleasure, you take over the technical management of the IT-Service property and lead a motivated team at eye level. An appreciation of leadership style, hands-on mentality, communication strength as well as the interest in the further development of your employees are yours. You serve and are responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as the strategic planning and act confidently and cooperatively with the different internal and external actors. You manage and optimize the topics user and application support, endpoint management, IT documentation, PKI, printer, identity management and IT contract management. Furthermore, you are responsible for the creation and further development of specialist concepts in the field of data processing. The cooperation with the fields of digital transformation, data center and IT infrastructure as well as with the other internal stakeholders of the university is of course for you.

As a basis, you will have a completed (special) higher education course (Bachelor or FH Diploma) in computer science, business informatics or a subject suitable for activity – alternatively an equivalent qualification – as well as at least three years of professional experience in one of the following areas: Organisation of IT support, operation of device management or operation of an IDM system. In addition, you will bring first professional leadership experience in managing IT teams. If you have only project management experience, we are also pleased to receive your application. You have a sound knowledge of the current IT infrastructure systems (e.g. servers, storage, network, databases, relevant software products) and experience in project management. Further knowledge in IT management, such as an ITIL certification, are advantageous. You are safe and binding and have strong communicative and social skills. You think analytic and strategic, act profit-oriented and show high self-initiative. In addition, you are convinced by a pronounced service orientation. Very good knowledge of German in word and writing (C2 level) complete your profile.

The place is Lippstadt. A regular presence at Hamm site is assumed. Regulations on home office are available at the university. The permanent full-time office shall be filled at the earliest possible date. The grouping takes place according to the task of transferring and fulfilling the personal requirements up to the remuneration group 13 according to the collective agreement for the public service of the countries (TV-L). Job placements are also possible on a part-time basis, provided that there are no individual reasons for service.
