Design Engineer Electrics (m/f/d)

As a Design Engineer Electrics (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d) at Elevate Aircraft Seating, you will accompany and coordinate the development and integration of electronic and electromechanical components for aircraft seats in Business Class, taking into account the aviation requirements of FAA, EASA and OEMs In your role, you are responsible for the definition of specifications for the electronic components of the seat as well as the design of electromechanical systems such as Bowden cables Your vision is in demand – you’ll start design proposals and convince your team members, department management and other departments of your ideas The technical coordination with suppliers for the projects assigned to you is your responsibility You design the construction of the cable guide in the seat and the furniture interfaces and ensure the integration of the components into the entire product As one of the experts (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d) of your discipline, you are the contact person for both internal and external positions as well as our suppliers and ensure the production and implementation of the developed designs and products In case of changes in the projects assigned to you, you will prepare design documents including piece lists to update and release You coordinate the integration of product components Safety first – you are looking for a safe working environment and fulfilling the expectations of our corporate policies And other exciting tasks and challenges await you with us

You have a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or have a comparable qualification You have a perennial experience as an electrical engineer (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d), preferably in the aviation or automotive industry Preferably, you are already familiar with the rules of aviation authorities EASA and FAA You have already gained experience with CATIA and PLM (WindChill) Ideally, you have experiences in creating 3D PDF files to define cable routing You have basic knowledge of technical mechanics, connecting technology and material engineering You bring knowledge and experience to the certification process of aircraft seats You work independently, structured and motivated You have a sense of reaching your team members You are safe in handling MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) You have very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
