System Engineer / Architect for Underwater Sensors and Torpedo Defense (m/w/d)

They are responsible for the technical design and integration of Sonar sensors, torpedo defense systems and associated communication systems on naval ships (overwater). Your task is to support the physical and functional integration of the systems. One focus is on the interface matching of your system to other systems of the application system or for ship supply. They conduct technical coordination with internal and external stakeholders and are responsible for the technical negotiations with suppliers. They act as a link between suppliers, customers, manufacturing and other internal areas of expertise. As a system integrator (m/w/d), you support the sales, purchasing department and scheduling as well as the project organization. They represent your system in all phases of the project from project planning, through contract, construction and integration activities to commissioning and testing.

They have a successfully completed study with a focus on electrical engineering, communications technology, mechatronics or industrial engineering, or have an equivalent technical training with corresponding experience. Ideally, you have knowledge in the maritime defence sector. They have the ability to think across the system and have a good general technical understanding. Negotiating skills, persuasiveness and a good written expression in German and English complete your profile. They have professional experience in the design of complex systems based on international standards and IT-based processing methods. Their expertise of the Engineering system including requirement analysis and/or operational experience from the military environment is of advantage.
