Technology Assessment & Scouting: You continuously identify and evaluate current trends in AI development (e.g. neuro-symbolic AI, foundation models, graph-based methods, edge AI) and assign their maturity and relevance to the location Germany. Scientific policy advice: You support policy-makers: to develop technically sound funding strategies and give answers to the question: “What AI technologies are competitive?” Project Management: You accompany the complete cycle of research funding. This includes the technical and technical assessment of project sketches, the monitoring of milestones in ongoing R&D projects and the testing of technological plausibility. Strategic analyses: You create studies and foresight analyses that focus on the performance and scalability of AI systems in various industries such as Focus on production, mobility and health. Professional Community & Transfer: You moderate the exchange between top-level research, industry and politics and support technological innovation in marketable applications.

You have a successfully completed university degree (Master or Diploma) of computer science, mathematics, physics or a related field with a clear focus on artificial intelligence – ideally supplemented by a doctorate You understand the mathematical foundations behind current architectures (e.g. Transformer, Diffusion Models, Reinforcement Learning) You can technically justify the difference between 'Proof of Concept' and industrial maturity You have an eye for data quality, model efficiency and integration into existing IT stacks You are able to quickly capture specialist publications and extract their relevance for national and regional funding strategies You can prepare complex technical details in such a way that You provide a clear basis for action for political decision-makers, without losing technical precision. You want to work at the interface between tech development and research and state control and actively shape the German research landscape You have knowledge of German and excellent English skills
