NetMedia researches the field of multimodal deep learning methods for artificial intelligence (AI), including the research topics speech recognition, image recognition, NLP, Foundation Models and Conversational AI. The methods developed in research are transferred to scalable and cloud-capable application systems to successfully transfer them to our customers in productive use. As a SeniorKI researcherin and expertin, you will explore new methods and applications of the Generative AI in the context of AI platforms and European AI initiatives. In addition, you will bring your AI research expertise to the development of new innovation initiatives. Explore and evaluate the latest methods of generative AI and publish their research results on international AI events. In the EU research project DeployAI, you will also undertake coordinating tasks to build a European AI-on-demand platform. What you do with us

• Conception and implementation of new GenAI methods and AI applications
• Research into novel algorithms for speech-based and agentic AI systems and their evaluation using scientific benchmark methods
• Implementation of scientific publications in the field of generative AI
• Support for the coordination of the EU project DeployAI and evaluation of new technology transfer methods
• Request for further EU projects in the context of the EU AI Continent Plan, such as IPCEI-AI: formation of consortia, creation of applications, launching of new projects

What you bring

• Completed academic studies (Master, Diploma) of Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics with excellent degree at a university with international reputation as well as applicants from related subjects (e.g. legal informatics) if you provide appropriate prior knowledge
• Scientific knowledge in the field of language processing detected by a doctorate in the field of language technologies
• Knowledge of Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
• Long-term experience in implementing major national and European projects in the context of communication technologies and AI
• Available network of European partners
• Excellent analytical skills, pleasure in abstract thinking and conceptual work
• High efficiency and durability as well as the willingness to work quickly into new situations
• Joy in preparing complex technical relationships for different stakeholders
• Strong interest in in interdisciplinary questions
• Structured work and professional appearance
• Excellent German and English skills (at least level B2)
