The Central Tasks department in the Higher Building Office sees itself as an internal service provider for support and quality assurance in cross-departmental technical and scientific issues in the fields of construction and technology, as well as in the context of the urban strategy for a climate-neutral building stock. The field of municipal energy management and building physics within the Department of Central Tasks requires support, in particular in the following areas: Conception, coordination and organisation of all necessary processes within the municipal administration for the gradual energy recovery of the municipal building stock Accompanying the structural and technical implementation of energetic guidelines for new buildings and renovations to ensure the quality of construction Continuing structural and technical standards Verification of the price development of refurbishment measures as well as the establishment and maintenance of an appropriate benchmark database Creation of reports for city council and city administration to progress towards a climate-neutral building stock Perception of the project management “object planning” according to HOAI, possibly also for complex refurbishment measures or special cases in the context of the implementation plan for climate neutrality Project management for the fields of construction physics and sustainability in demanding new construction and renovation measures
