IT Specialist System Integration

About us The central institution of IT services provides IT services for all areas of the university. It operates the central IT infrastructure and supports the business processes of faculties, library and central administration through suitable applications and is also IT service provider for the Lower Saxony national museums in Oldenburg. IT services provide their services in line with the processes of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). The Desktop Services department is responsible for the workstation PCs for a large user group, employees and students, and with the IT-Service-Desk as well as the IT-Consult, offers central contact points for the users of IT services. About 60 employees work in the IT services division.

We offer you the opportunity administrate Microsoft 365 for use by employees and students, planning and implementing hardware and software rollouts, to advise and maintain users in the use of the workstation computers and the associated application software (processing of enquiries and fault messages), Installation packages and configuration specifications for Windows computers, especially. operating system and its rolling out by means of baramundi or to create GPLs, support workplace PCs and their peripherals and mobile devices; to record incidents by means of a ticket system and document their processing up to the solution; to formulate acquired knowledge as a knowledge item and to provide the team in our ITSM environment The work is done process-oriented according to the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

Required/ Adjustment requirements the relevant completed technical vocational training (BBiG) (e.g. specialist informatics in system integration or Technical system informatics*in) or relevant completed higher education (e.g. BA computer science), good communication skills in German (mother language or at least. B2, with proof) and English, good knowledge of current Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office packages, Required/ Advantage multiannual relevant professional experience experience in the administration of an M365 environment, Basic knowledge of the creation of PowerShell and batch scripts and group guidelines (GPO), driving licence class B, a friendly and safe handling of specialist departments and users, possibly already experience in the work according to ITIL
