Strategic and conceptual planning, selection and control of the assortment and the further development of the product portfolio in coordination with the management, including the analysis of product life cycles of internal existing assortments Creation of assortment/product concepts and specifications in compliance with customer needs, design aspects and costs in close cooperation with our sales, product and quality management Accompanying the development and design of new products / product lines from idea discovery to series maturity in close cooperation with suppliers Strategic market and competition analysis for identifying trends and defining potential sourcing countries through trade fair and supplier visits, store checks and international market and supplier analyses Sourcing new suppliers, building close and long-term supplier relationships as well as leading independent purchasing negotiations

You have a successfully completed economic studies or a comparable qualification. You have gained several years of professional experience in the area of purchasing / product management in an international environment, preferably in large and foreign trade. You bring well-founded experience in purchasing furniture and supplier management: ideally, you already have an existing network of suppliers. Your key competencies include a special level of creativity and a lot of self-initiative in product development as well as technical understanding of “masonability” or Development / production of products in cooperation with suppliers on site. It distinguishes an independent, structured, solution- and team-oriented thinking and working method and always think with and ahead. Their appearance towards suppliers is strong to enforce and negotiate, paired with a high cost understanding. You have the will to extend your knowledge hands-on. A strong willingness to regularly travel around the world, even multi-week and weekends, as well as high intercultural skills are not a difficulty for you. You have knowledge of English in word and writing. You are familiar with the handling of ERP systems, ideally Business Central / former Navision, and are confident in handling MS Office, especially Excel.
