Presales Consultant (gn) – Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Full time | unlimited | Location: Germany, Austria or Switzerland or remote

The task area

As a presales consultant, you are the interface between our sales and delivery teams. You help our customers identify and implement the best GCP and AI solutions.

Scoping and Sizing Opportunities

• cooperation with sales and customers to assess requirements and objectives.

• analysis and size determination of projects to ensure that customer requirements and corporate capabilities are consistent.

Solution Design and Proposal Development

• development of tailor-made solutions that take account of both business and technical requirements.

• definition of margins for solution proposals in coordination with sales and delivery teams.

• preparation of detailed performance descriptions (SOWs) and technical presentations.

Market research and insights

• At present, trends and competitive offers remain.

• As an expert in customer interactions and workshops.

Sales support and cooperation

• Technical support of the sales team during the entire sales cycle.

• Identification of cross-selling and upselling possibilities.

• Cooperation with the marketing team to create convincing sales material.

Knowledge and skills

Must-have: .

Technical expertise:

• A strong interest and understanding of current developments in cloud technology, artificial intelligence and data analysis.

• Deep understanding of GCP services, ML algorithms, data analysis tools and cloud technologies.

• experience with GCP networks, hybrid solutions, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), ML frameworks and big data technologies.

• Confidence with IAM, encryption and compliance standards (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA).

• GCP certification at least on Associate level.

Methodological competences:

• Application of methods such as design thinking and agile software development processes (Scrum, Kanban).

• experience in project calculation and creation of performance descriptions (SOWs).

Sales and core competencies:

• Detectable capacity to support the sales team with technical and functional expertise.

• ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and convincingly.

• Secure handling in customer talks and workshops to meet and clarify customer requirements.

• openness and commitment in exchange with customers and internal teams.

• take the initiative to lead the development and presentation of solutions.

• empathy for the needs and challenges of customers.

• ability to conduct discussions and unite different positions.

Nice-to-have: .

• knowledge of development frameworks (e.g. Angular, React) and DevOps processes and tools (in particular GitHub).

• experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).

• confidentiality with NLP techniques, AI ethics and industry-specific challenges.
