The Vivantes Auguste-Viktoria-Klinikum operates as a focus provider 12 clinics and institutes with 639 beds. Every year approx. 24,000 stationary cases. Construction measures for a new clinic, which will also take up large proportions of radiology, are immediately ahead.

The radiology department focuses on interventional therapy. In addition to vascular, angiographic interventions, such as pAVK and dialysis shunts, the spectrum of services includes the treatment of liver diseases. These include, inter alia, transarterial tumor therapies, thermoablations, TIPS, biliary interventions and the implantation of aortic prostheses. In addition, there are many interventions in the oncological spectrum of, for example, port/PICC-line supplies, bipsies or also in the context of pain therapies. For diagnostic purposes, all conventional X-ray techniques, ultrasound and all cutting-image methods are used on site. The technical equipment of the institute includes two a multi-line CT and a solid-state detector transilluminator, three conventional X-ray workstations – two of them with solid-state detector – a 1, 5-tetra-MRT and an angiography system. The radiology workstations are closely interconnected in a fully digitized RIS / PACS system.
