Street Cleaning Technician (m/w/d)

We are looking for the waste industry Stuttgart (AWS) of the Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart. The place shall be occupied without delay.

The AWS employs around 1,000 employees in the headquarters on Stöckach and at various locations throughout the city. The site is assigned to the road cleaning department with winter service and public toilet facilities. We are responsible for manual and mechanical road cleaning, recycle bin emptying, winter service on roadways (shift operation) and walking paths in the context of urban arbor obligations as well as for special operations in the respective service area.

A job that enthuses you

• They are responsible for the technical support of the plant including all storage facilities (vehicles, operating facilities, machines/devices, working equipment)
• In addition to the area and equipment management, you are also responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and ensuring repairs of prescribed maintenance and maintenance work
• They are a contact person for external service providers in the field of infrastructure and serve them (e.g. craftsmen, winter service etc.)
• The assignment of employees to your area, including the review of work results and documentation, are also your tasks.
• They support your supervisors in operational, conceptual and planning tasks and work with the introduction of new techniques
• They are responsible for the transport and supervision of personnel, as well as the control of the correct task in shift operation

A change or addition of the task area is reserved.

Your profile that fits us

• A completed training as a plant mechanic, industrial mechanic, technician, motor mechatronic, or a comparable other technical training or a comparable qualification in the fields of transport, technology, the environment, supply and disposal such as environmental technology, dispatcher/in, specialist circulatory and waste management (for foreign financial statements, the submission of recognition in Germany is required)
• Carriage of licence class C/CE required
• The willingness to shift work is assumed. Please confirm your consent in your application
• Knowledge of common MS Office programs and good German knowledge of word and writing
• An independent way of working, good communication and team skills as well as a high level of enforcement and flexibility
• The willingness to continue training
