The maintenance control and safety technology unit is responsible for the technical systems of control and safety technology, with particular focus on their performance, safety and sustainability. It ensures that the infrastructure can be operated reliably, accompanies projects over the entire life cycle and acts as a central interface between operation, technology and external partners.

Intensive training with a perspective: In a period of about 6–36 months, you will gain in-depth expertise about our modern infrastructure technology – from landing gears to rail crossings to digital railway communication. Each section of the training ends with a written and oral examination, so you grow step by step into your new role. You learn how to analyze and correct faults to ensure safe and smooth web traffic.

You completed an apprenticeship in electrical engineering. Alternatively, you are already working as a soft mechanicin or signal electronicsin and want to further develop. In addition, you are ready to learn new techniques in railway signal technology. You are collaborative and like to work in the team. In addition, you meet the health requirements according to the railway construction and operating regulations (EBO-Taubility). The grouping after the TV-AVH takes place with the completion of training for the signal technician*in a higher pay group.

An adjustment can be made according to the profile in the EG7 or EG8 with qualification to the EG9b. The prerequisite for the pay group 9b is the completed training for the signal technician.
