In Ev.-Luth. Kirchenkreis Hamburg-Ost are committed to people – in the church communities on site and in diverse areas of work that are summarized in the area of Diakonie+Education.

The Bodelschwingh House offers homeless people with “special social difficulties” accommodation, advice and accompaniment. We mainly support men and with a small proportion also transpeople. The basis of our aids are the paragraphs §§ 67 to 69 in SGB XII. The Bodelschwingh House has 45 seats in the house and 25 decentralised residential areas. In addition, follow-up aids and housing management also belong to our support offer. Advice and support of clients Support in addressing personal challenges Transfer of own experience values within the meaning of the peer approach Conducting individual and possibly group offers (e.g. breakfast group, cooking groups) Documentation of counselling Participation in the further development of our offer

Ability to sensual accompaniment at eye level and to reflected use of own experience values Strength in dialogue communication and common reflection in the sense of recovery orientation Competence to bring your own recovery experiences constructively into relationship design and exchange Reflective and conscious handling of your own role as a peer in the field of personal experience and professional context Own experience in the relevant topic (e.g. mental illness, addiction experience, overcoming homelessness.) Completed training as peer consultant*in (e.g. via EX-IN)
