Head of the ''Construction'' department (m/f/d)

The Niedersächsische Landesbehörde für Strassenbau und Verkehr is responsible, among other things, for the construction and maintenance of federal and regional roads in Lower Saxony and for the circular roads of different counties. It employs around 2,900 employees. The various tasks are carried out on the one hand in four central business units and on the other in 13 regional business units (including road construction offices). The field “construction” covers three areas of expertise with the following tasks: procurement and contracting construction programs, construction financing, construction disposition Road construction - repair, renewal and renovation, new building Engineering projects – Building planning, maintenance and construction Construction monitoring Building supervision tasks (§ 4 FStrG and § 10 NStrG), construction service regulations The job/service post includes the independent management of the department 3 in the regional business unit Aurich and all related tasks. Changes to the organisation and the task area are reserved.

Your technical qualification: Officials (w/m/d) must have the capacity for the second entry office of the category 2, the technical services, the field of road transport, urban construction or urban construction. Employees (w/m/d) must have a scientific degree (Master/Uni. Diploma) in the field of civil engineering or in a comparable field of study. Knowledge of road and procurement law Knowledge of federal and state budgetary law Knowledge of planning and design regulations and administrative knowledge of technical regulations, business knowledge and knowledge of control models Knowledge of management structures and procedures in road construction management
