As Senior Payroll & Benefit Operations Specialist, you are responsible for and coordinating the entire end-to-end pairing process for Germany. In doing so, you act as a central spokesperson and expert:in Germany for pay billing and at the same time contribute to the further development of excellent payroll processes in the EMEA region. You combine well-founded expertise with a strong demand for continuous improvement and make sure that our colleagues are paid correctly and on time at any time. In addition, you drive the standardization, digitization and automation of processes and work closely with internal and external stakeholders at local, regional and global level. Your daily tasks include: The proper management of pay billing including reporting, monitoring, controls and documentation according to the requirements of the SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) Operational support and further development of operational and collectively contractual benefits, such as occupational pensions, long-term accounts and related programs The technical advice of internal stakeholders and external service providers on complex issues of German pay billing Coordination and communication with external bodies, including authorities, service providers and auditors: Support for legal and internal audits through the provision of payroll data, documentation and explanations, as well as the integration of finance, tax, legal or total rewards as required Advising employees, executives and internal stakeholders on payroll processes and operational issues of payroll accounting Providing continuous improvements, standardization, automation and process documentation as well as active participation in local, regional and global payroll projects Support for a second country as a representation to ensure operational continuity Your new department In the area of People, Organisation & Corporate Affairs, you become part of a team that strengthens our employees' commitment and wins outstanding talents so that Novo remains one of the first addresses for extraordinary personalities. Within this area you will become a member of the Payroll, Time & Benefits (PTB). This collaborative team is responsible for reliable, regular and future-oriented payroll services. You are part of People Services EMEA and work closely with global process managers to promote harmonisation and transformation in our payroll landscape. In addition, you are also involved in the German organization and work closely with the teams on site. Your expertise directly strengthens the team's ability to deliver excellent performance on a large scale.

We are looking for an experienced payroll expertise that is moving safely in a complex environment and enjoys driving operational excellence in an international environment. You bring the following: A completed study of economics or a comparable qualification focusing on Payroll. At least five years of professional experience in pay billing within the German legal framework, ideally in a collectively bound company. Knowledge of the relevant German social insurance, tax and labour legislation. Experience in controlling end-to-end roll processes and in cooperation with external payroll service providers. Experience in a shared service, regional or international environment is advantageous. Safe handling of HR IT systems. Knowledge in SAP HR and/or Employee Central are beneficial, as well as excellent knowledge in Excel and databases. Experience with initiatives to improve, standardize and automate payroll processes. Outstanding skills in stakeholder management and communication in an international environment. Very good knowledge of English in word and writing. Another language is advantageous. Compensation The salary for this position is based on the currently valid collective agreement for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry in Rhineland-Palatinate (certificate collective agreement). The position is grouped into E13K. Variable remuneration and additional benefits Depending on the position level, location, functional range and relevant market benchmarks, the compensation package may comprise short- and/or long-term performance-dependent compensation components and additional benefits. .
