The non-profit society for the promotion of science and education as a supporter of the Catholic University Mainz and the Institute for Teacher Training Mainz and Saarbrücken (ilf) is looking for Head of HR Administration & Finance (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d) – TVÖD VKA EG12

(full-time, part-time to 75% possible) We support and support the university management and all the departments and institutions of the university and the Institute for Teacher Training in all financial and personal administrative matters. With clear administrative processes, transparent advice and practical service, we create the basis for teaching, research and administration to work successfully. Through the introduction of modern methods, which are characterised by openness, clarity and transparency and the introduction of state-of-the-art systems, we support the university and the institutes of teacher training.

You lead the employees of the service station and develop them organizationally and professionally. General control and optimization of all HR processes ( recruitment, on/off boarding, pay billing, personnel development) Responsibility for proper payment and compliance with legal and internal requirements (TVöD, HGB, Budget Law) Interface management to external service providers (content accounting, tax advisors, auditors and other auditors) Processing of financial and personnel key figures for university management and ilf – incl. Annual accounts preparation Budget planning and monitoring of the total personnel budget of all institutions Continuous development of HR instruments (e.g. digital self-service portals, AI-supported evaluations) Responsibility for quality assurance and transparency of all accounting processes

A completed commercial university study A multi-annual experience in the management of staff or the accounting department distinguishes them for the service. It would be advantageous if you had already gained leadership experience. Their attitude is characterized by service orientation, openness, communication strength and IT competence. AI and other recent developments also provide you with a light in your eyes. The legal situation in the fields of TVÖD, Tariff and Labour Law is also known to you as the basic principles of the HGB. In addition, you are willing to accompany the transformation of our company in a personal, organizational and processual manner.
