We are looking for an experienced consultant / engineer (m/w/d) with many years of experience in land and sea cable technology to strengthen our “Power Cable” team. DNV is expanding its activities in the field of “Asset Management”. One driver for this is the installation of wind farms and interconnectors, with their connection or Design both land cable and sea cable play a decisive role. The topics to be treated range from quality-related aspects during the planning and approval phase, in the context of production and installation monitoring to fault analyses during the operation of the cable systems. As a consultant/engineer for land and sea cable technology, you will become part of the Power Cable team in the “Asset Management & Digital System Operation” department in the “Power Grids” area and help our customers achieve sustainable, first-class asset management processes and services together with other colleagues. You will provide engineering services and consulting for customers in the supply industry, mainly in Germany, with the opportunity to participate in projects worldwide. You will be responsible for the management, execution and acquisition of cable projects. You gradually build an understanding of the market in which we operate and deliver high-quality results.

You have at least 2 years of experience in the field of land cable and/or sea cable technology You have an academic degree in physics, electrical engineering or a similar field You have profound knowledge and skills in cable technology, design and quality assurance of energy cables You know the latest IEC standards and CIGRE guidelines and can apply them You can work independently and responsibly, show new skills and readiness to learn and are excited to take over challenging tasks. With initiative, adaptability and excellent collaborative skills, you are a dedicated team player ready to share knowledge and skills and work in the team.
