In Ev.-Luth. Kirchenkreis Hamburg-Ost are committed to people – in the church communities on site and in diverse areas of work that are summarized in the area of Diakonie+Education.

We as a diaconia+education are carriers of major diaconic institutions such as youth assistance, family education, homeless assistance and counselling, as well as service providers for daycare facilities. We organize a wide range of educational events through our work and specialist departments, set content accents and engage in social and social policy, e.g. for people on the run. As a diaconia+ education, we want to expand, profile and establish our effectiveness for the future. This is why we started a change process in 2022 with the aim of focusing and profiling our competencies and offers in three areas of activity – ecclesiastical institutions and places, community service, civil society issues.

In the Ev Youth employment office, which is part of the education sector, youth work in the parishes and regions is supported professionally and offers are organised for the main and volunteers. These include, among other things, training and training modules for volunteers, the perception of specialist supervisors, vacancy representation, participation as well as the professional advice and support of parishes and general youth staff. In addition to the community of youth work, Ev. Jugendsozialarbeit is the second focus of action of the workstation with four institutions in its own institution and an advisory service for general staff and support communities. The workstation Ev. Jugend is part of the change project community service with other specialist and workstations.

In accordance with the Children's and Youth Act of the Northern Church, young adults and young adults are to be included in their respective ecclesiastical concerns and be able to take responsibility to actively shape the ecclesiastical cooperation. You are social pedagogues, have completed their studies in the educational, social, or educational field or have a comparable qualification relevant participation methods are known to you and you are familiar with current developments and debates on participation You have professional experience in pedagogical work with young people and young adults, are happy to work conceptually and keep the practical implementation and strategic orientation in mind You are strong in communication, clear and enjoy developing, thinking and critically reflecting participation formats together with young people and young adults You are a team playerin and have fun working in agile, interdisciplinary settings Church life and structures are at best familiar to you and you like to move in it
