Senior Developer for In-House Full-Stack Development (m/f/d)

As a senior developer, you play a key role in the design and implementation of our internal and patient-related solutions. You contribute significantly to digitizing the processes in our house and optimizing the workflows for our employees. Their work does not begin with the development of the software: You support the acceptance and analysis of user requirements and translate the requirements of the specialist departments for technical implementation. You are one of the drivers in the team and design the technical development for our existing internal planning software (individual software) and the future-proof architecture with (e.g., Micro-Services with Spring Boot). With your expert knowledge in Angular, you ensure usability and always pay attention to performance. In coordination with the cross-functional team, carry the end-to-end response – You Build It, You Run It. This includes the development and integration in CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and the understanding of containerization (Docker), as well as the implementation of robust test strategies (Unit Testing and Integration Testing). You provide continuous quality control (unit, integration, E2E testing) with automated processes and focus on the security (e.g. OWASP Top 10) of the systems by integrating preventive measures into the development process and regularly reviewing safety. For you, the separation of front and backend is not important. You feel responsible for the entire application and continue to shape it with long-term vision. Before implementing new requirements, you will question which software parts are affected and adapt them if necessary. You actively contribute your expertise to software development, are the main partners in the developer team for the product and ensure the knowledge sharing in the team through structured code reviews. Technologies we often use: Spring Boot (Kotlin) with Angular (TypeScript), for individual services Python, as well as Docker for containerization. Postgres for data storage, for the DevOps share: Prometheus, Grafana and Terraform for the configuration of the infrastructure.

Ideally, you have a degree in IT. For us, however, your professional skills and personality are much more important: You bring at least 5 years of experience and profound expertise in Spring Boot and Angular and ideally have knowledge of the common DevOps topics such as Terraform, Prometheus and Grafana. Knowledge in Postgres or comparable relational databases complete your profile. You have experience with modern deployment and orchestration tools such as GitLab or GitHub and can configure CI/CD pipelines independently and deploy the software created in it to the target system. You know common best practices and software batteries that are necessary for high-quality and stable software, so that You can run reliably for many years and further development or later migration to new frameworks is possible. You have a good sense of secure software and have current knowledge of security risks (e.g. OWASP Top 10). You are communicative and willing to clarify requirements directly with the specialist departments. You have fun dealing with new technologies and sharing them with your colleagues. With a view to the whole, you identify new tasks and organize yourself independently to solve challenges proactively. We require very good German knowledge.
